Cool

She believed in making an entrance
You have to give her that
Her dress was short and off the shoulder
With very little back.
And though she could be tough and hard
And cold as a piece of stone
Tonight you’d have to say she was cool
As a late night saxophone.
She had the build of an athlete
Tennis player or runner
She wore a lot of the colour pink
And always dressed for Summer.
She made the most of what she had
She was slender as a willow
And I always thought that she was cool
As the other side of the pillow.
Cool as the third martini
Cool as a Spring cucumber
Cool as a Lamborghini
Cool as the winning number.
